The Shine Studio is a 1,200 square foot creative space built for photography, video, podcasting, and content creation.
What started as a brand photography space for Anna Laura Sommer has grown into Shine Studio, Charleston's premier bright, natural light content studio, and an intimate space for your next VIP day, workshop, or meeting.
Every room offers a different vibe, so however your project needs to feel, there is a set here for it. Rent by the hour or by the day, with membership and package options available at a discounted rate.
the STUDIO SPACE
1,200 square feet of second floor space, wrapped in large windows and tall ceilings that flood every room with natural light. A blank white canvas, ready for your vision.
Free street parking is available on King Street and the surrounding blocks. Head downstairs for breakfast, lunch, or a coffee break at The Harbinger Cafe, or take home a bottle of wine from Monarch Wine Merchants. Whether you are a content creator, photographer, influencer, podcaster, or event planner, this is the backdrop built for it.

A fully outfitted room for recording audio and video, built to launch a podcast or run a one-off VIP session.

FAQS
IS THERE A RESTROOM? Yes! There is a restroom in the studio and can also be used as a dressing room if needed. IS A PHOTOGRAPHER PROVIDED IN MY BOOKING? Short answer: No. The booking provides access to the space only. We welcome other photographers & creatives or clients to book this beautiful space! (For photo/video clients of the owner, Anna Laura, the space is included at no additional charge. Please visit theshinestudio.com for more info on brand photo/video services.) DO YOU HAVE AN ELEVATOR? The studio is located on the 2nd floor. There is not an elevator but there are stairwells located at the front and back doors. WHEN DOES THE STUDIO GET THE BEST LIGHT? We get beautiful sunlight reflected through our windows throughout most of the day. ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED? Yes, children are allowed. We only ask that they please be mindful of our neighbors during working hours. HOW EARLY CAN I ARRIVE? Unfortunately, early entry into the studio is not allowed. We ask that you grant yourself extra time within the session hours you have reserved - this includes arrival, setup, breakdown, and departure. WHERE CAN I PARK?
